Methods Of
Consumption

Varieties of Cannabis

Cannabis items can be categorized into a few fundamental types. The plant is the dried and cured bud that many visualize first. Concentrates consist of the plant's components extracted and formed into wax, shatter, or oil. Edibles are cannabis-infused foods and beverages that one consumes, tinctures are liquid extracts dispensed by the dropper, and topicals encompass balms or lotions applied to the skin that do not induce any psychoactive effects.

Methods for Consuming Marijuana

Deciding how to consume marijuana largely hinges on the trade-off between quick effects and longevity. Smoking and vaping provide effects within moments, dissipating within a few hours. Conversely, ingesting cannabis through food or drink takes significantly longer to manifest, often exceeding an hour, although the effects persist considerably longer than those from smoking. Beginners typically fare better when opting for a method that delivers swift effects that fade quickly, as it’s simpler to gauge the appropriate dosage.

Methods of Marijuana Use

A joint, a pipe, and a bong remain the three most familiar ways to smoke weed, and all three work the same way at heart: flower burns, smoke gets inhaled. Vaporizers heat flower or concentrate below the point of combustion, cutting down on both smoke and smell. Dabbing runs a concentrate through a heated nail or an electronic rig built for that specific job. Eating or holding a tincture under the tongue skips inhalation completely, while a topical gets rubbed directly onto the skin it's meant to reach.

How to Get Rid of Weed Smell

There's no way to fully hide weed smell once you've smoked, but a few things cut down on how much sticks around:

Exhale toward an open window or run a small fan to push smoke outside instead of letting it settle
Run an air purifier with a carbon filter in the room where you smoke most
Keep a sploof made from a cardboard tube and dryer sheets on hand to filter exhaled smoke
Change clothes or wash your hands afterward, since both hold onto smell longer than most people expect
